Singapore Brain Development Centre
Before we can determine the right developmental and cognitive training program for you, we need to conduct a pre-standardised assessment designed to measure your child’s abilities compared to other children their age. These tests have been normed on thousands of children of varying abilities to determine the average level and then matched to the score for other children his or her age. This test enables us to identify specific brain skills weaknesses, and then target those weaknesses with a series of carefully designed developmental and cognitive training exercises.
Singapore Brain Development Centre uses a battery of tests in addition to proprietary screening tools developed to further evaluate individual skill strength and weakness. At our training centre, such broad, accurate, and definitive testing pinpoints weak underlying developmental and cognitive skills related to poor performance and serves as the foundation for individualised, effective training.
Some of the professional testing tools we use include the Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement (WJ III-ACH), Test of Auditory Processing Skills (TAPS-4), Test of Visual Perceptual Skills (TVPS-4), Sensory Development Profiling Test, DIR/Floortime Test, Renfrew Language Scales, SCAN-3:C Tests for Auditory Processing Disorders.
Each underlying developmental and cognitive skills can dramatically impact learning performance and should be assessed. Fortunately, these skills can also be trained and strengthened if the need or potential is identified in time through individual skills testing.
Because we assess every client before and after the training program, we can measure improvements made as a result of the program. For more information on how brain training can improve your life or the life of someone you love, take one of the following steps:
