Edelene graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. With a natural affinity for working with children, she finds great joy in engaging young minds, building meaningful connections, and discovering effective strategies to enhance each child’s learning journey.
Her passion for education and inclusivity was further shaped by her role as a form teacher in a Special Education (SPED) school, where she worked for two years. This experience gave her valuable insights into the diverse learning needs of children, and the importance of individualised support in fostering growth. She became deeply committed to helping children build not just academic skills, but also social-emotional resilience and confidence.
Edelene strongly believes that every child has the capacity to learn and thrive, regardless of the challenges they may face. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages students to embrace their strengths, work through their challenges, and flourish both academically and personally.
Outside of her professional life, Edelene enjoys expressing her creativity through a variety of craft activities, including painting, animating, embroidering, and pottery. These hands-on hobbies reflect her patience, attention to detail, and appreciation for the process of growth. She also has a deep fondness for the nostalgia and charm of vintage items and historical places, and finds inspiration in exploring these treasures and the stories they carry.
