JESSICA CHANG

THERAPIST

Jessica graduated from the University of London with a Bachelor of Science in Management with Law and initially pursued a career in the legal sector. However, her journey took a transformative turn when she discovered her passion for early childhood education through her experiences as a parent. This led her to transition into the field, where she focused on delivering literacy programs to preschoolers.

With over ten years of experience, Jessica has been dedicated to providing the MOE’s Focused Language Assistance in Reading program to children. She specialises in supporting at-risk young learners by adapting teaching methods and instructional materials to meet their varying needs and interests. Jessica is deeply committed to offering guidance and emotional support to children with learning and behavioural difficulties, fostering positive relationships with parents, teachers, and external therapists.

To further her expertise, Jessica completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education with the National Institute of Early Childhood (NIEC). This equipped her with the knowledge necessary to support children facing phonological and language challenges. Jessica sees herself as a “star polisher,” dedicated to helping each student excel, regardless of their starting point. She finds great fulfillment in witnessing the “light bulb” moments when students grasp new concepts or achieve their goals.

Jessica is committed to learning and applying effective training techniques and methods to address specific cognitive and developmental needs, nurturing children’s natural growth and curiosity. Outside of her professional endeavors, Jessica enjoys painting, digital art, and Chinese painting. She has also illustrated and self-published a children’s book, showcasing her unique blend of artistic talent and commitment to education.
