Sindy Sim graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons). She also spent two years as a Piano Teacher at Sono School of Music in Brisbane, where she taught and managed up to 60 students each week. Through this experience, Sindy developed a deep appreciation for the diverse ways children learn and express themselves, reinforcing her passion for tailoring support to each individual’s needs. She has always known that she wants to be in teaching, and this clarity has guided her commitment to working closely with learners and supporting their growth in meaningful ways.
For two years, Sindy also served as a Crisis Support Volunteer with Lifeline in Brisbane, providing compassionate listening to individuals in distress, and as a Compassionate Companion at The Wesley Hospital, offering comfort to vulnerable in-patients. These experiences have further shaped her commitment to making a meaningful impact, highlighting the importance of empathy, patience, and connection in supporting those in need.
Outside of her professional and volunteer work, Sindy enjoys reading and watching documentaries.
