FONG WEN QIN

THERAPIST

Wen Qin graduated from James Cook University, Singapore with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours). Her journey began through hands-on work in tutoring, where she supported children from diverse backgrounds in their academic and personal development. As an academic tutor for almost three years, Wen Qin designed and implemented individualised learning plans tailored to each child’s needs, helping to build confidence, motivation, and positive learning habits. She worked closely with parents to monitor progress and refine strategies, supporting students across primary-level subjects including international learners and those with additional learning needs. These experiences sparked her growing interest in supporting children with developmental and learning challenges, and strengthened her desire to work more deeply in the developmental field.

Alongside her experience, Wen Qin has been trained in mediation and peer counselling, and has been involved in mental health exposure through screening, outreach, and supportive engagement. These experiences have strengthened her ability to work thoughtfully with individuals, communicate with empathy, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary and community-based settings.

Outside of her professional work, Wen Qin enjoys nature photography and reading psychology books to deepen her understanding of neuroplasticity and human behaviour.
